This year’s Columbus Day weekend will be an exciting, productive and inspirational one for all of us involved in New Jersey’s vibrant and diverse community of persons with disablities. The NJ Disability Pride Parade and Celebration will commence Thursday, October 6th 2011 at the State House in Trenton at 11:00 am.

On Monday evening, the focus shifts to the southern part of the state as the Spina Bifida Resource Network sponsors its ever-popular and delicious Living to Empower Evening of Fun and Prizes on October 10th, 2011 at Adelphia Restaurant at 1750 Clements Bridge Road in Deptford NJ from 7:00 pm – 9:00.
“$15 per person for a Buffet Dinner, Entertainment, and Open Bar. A VERY enticing Tricky Tray will help support SBRN while getting you an opportunity to win some great prizes. A great time was had by all last year! Adults ages 21 and up only, please…details will come shortly!”
Both the Alliance Center for Independence in Edison, NJ and the Spina Bifida Resource Network urge everyone connected with persons with disabilities, and, their friends and families, to come out in support of these fun-filled celebrations of hope, individual empowerment, opportunity and community.
