Yearly Philadelphia Eagles Game-by-Game W-L Predictions

At last, here are my very unscientific W-L predictions for the Philadelphia Eagles 2011 season, which begins tomorrow. I think the Eagles are loaded with talent at the skill positions and, of course, at defensive back, but offensive line and the other units on the defense could pose problems. I think it will be difficult for Michael Vick to remain healthy enough to start every game but, we shall see. I have road losses penciled in for Atlanta and also Seattle (usually every year there’s a game you were supposed to win but lose) and home losses to the Pats and Jets because they are perennial quality teams. Plus I’m indicating a loss at home to Chicago because they always give the Eagles problems. Kevin Kolb’s mid-November homecoming with his new Arizona squad will be an interesting and tense battle starring Larry Fitzgerald against a star-studded Eagle secondary.  It’s a tough home schedule but I see the Eagles dominating the  division.

I think the news media has created a bit of sensory overload regarding the painful tragedy of that September morning ten years ago. However, due to it being NFL football Sunday, during which so many of us will be watching, please take advantage of an opportunity to share a moment across lines of geography and time to reflect on the lost lives of family and friends who continue through us and among us in spirit. Let the light of their love and courage help guide us through life’s journey.
