Rites of Spring: Art Pieces and Peacocks

Our group of friends from The Spina Bifida Resource Network visited Grounds for Sculpture in Hamilton, NJ two weekends ago. A chilly, mostly overcast April afternoon created some interesting photographic challenges, as displayed here, but the many peacocks throughout the grounds provided good company as we appreciated the works of art and spring in bloom.

Along with the many peacocks, some of the sculpture pieces evoke imagery of flight and of birds of prey.

Visitors have an opportunity to walk a path toward a small hut with comfortably upholstered furniture and art work designed to encourage reflection and contemplation.

Although our server seems frozen in time, the sculpture grounds features a cafe and restaurant for visitors to enjoy some culinary arts.

A nice way to get outdoors and embrace a unique and colorful aesthetic experience.
